What you will do

• Set up and operate large CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, and boring bars.
• Establish reference points, set offsets, and preset tools according to work instructions.
• Execute trial runs and prove out tapes to ensure part accuracy.
• Machine ferrous and non-ferrous metals to tolerances indicated in drawings.
• Use hoists or cranes to handle heavy materials.
• Maintain standard work files and perform daily machine maintenance.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process documents.
• Proficiency using measuring instruments such as gages, micrometers, and indicators.
• Experience with a variety of large CNC tools (mills, horizontal/vertical lathes, boring bars).
• Capability to handle materials by hand or via crane/hoist.
