What you will do

• Design and execute the internalisation strategy for Technical & Complex Claims, leading the transformation agenda.
• Build and lead a team of high-calibre Technical Claims Specialists across various domains including Large Loss and Complex Bodily Injury.
• Act as the ultimate point of authority on technical claims topics, providing evidence-based advice on case strategies.
• Manage the financial performance of the complex claims portfolio, defining reserving philosophy and minimising leakage.
• Serve as the lead SME for Product and Engineering teams to build a proprietary Claims Management Platform.
• Translate technical claims logic into business requirements and user needs in collaboration with Business Architects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience within the UK Motor Insurance market (Insurer, MGA, or InsurTech).
• Proven track record of leading major claims transformation and scaling complex claims functions.
• Deep expertise in managing multi-million pound portfolios and driving Loss Ratio performance.
• Advanced knowledge of Large Loss, Complex Bodily Injury, Credit Hire indemnity strategy, and Case Law.
• Strategic grasp of using AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science to reinvent claims processes.
• Extensive experience working alongside software engineers, product managers, and UX designers.
