What you will do

• Design, build, and productionize ML and optimization systems for ads products including ranking and forecasting.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear scientific formulations and production-ready solutions.
• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to shape the ads roadmap and ensure measurable impact.
• Improve the quality, relevance, and commercial performance of ads across consumer and merchant experiences.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring team members and reviewing scientific designs.
• Contribute to the broader applied science community by sharing methods and reusable patterns.

Requirements

• Significant experience building and productionizing ML, ranking, recommendation, or search systems in high-scale environments.
• Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, and experimental design.
• Expertise in writing production-level Python code and proficiency with SQL.
• Ability to manage the entire lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to production.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical concepts and business needs.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to connect model metrics to business outcomes.
