What you will do
- Execute BD plans to identify and penetrate growth opportunities within the pharma, biotech, and VC sectors.
- Qualify leads and present strategic opportunities to technical teams and senior leadership.
- Facilitate business meetings, manage agendas, and ensure a solution-provider approach.
- Support proposal writing, negotiations, and the closing process.
- Maintain stable customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for Research Chemistry Services.
- Represent the company at conferences and facilitate customer travel to China.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
- 7+ years of industrial experience, including 3+ years in business development.
- Must be based in the Western US (California preferred).
- Broad understanding of drug discovery, candidate selection, and preclinical development.
- Proven ability to identify prospects and close complex business deals independently.
Nice to have
- Experience working in a Contract Research Organization (CRO).
- Knowledge of early phase CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls).
