What you will do

• Source, prepare, and manage printed music for the hirify.global National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales.
• Ensure all musical materials are accurate, high-quality, and strictly comply with copyright law.
• Check and mark parts in collaboration with conductors and musicians.
• Maintain and catalogue the music library and provide support for auditions.
• Manage hire budgets and provide necessary orchestrations.
• Attend rehearsals and performances to distribute and collect music materials.

Requirements

• Proven music knowledge and literacy.
• Ability to provide detailed interpretation of scorings and orchestrations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Competency in using music notation to manually amend parts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
• Must be based in or be able to work in Cardiff, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience and competency in using music notation software.
• Understanding of music-related copyright legislation.
• Prior experience working within a Music Library.
• Ability to perform basic arranging and orchestrating tasks.
