TL;DR

Onboarding Risk Manager (Fintech): Leading the Onboarding Risk team to identify fraud and payment-related risks during account onboarding with an accent on process optimization and high-quality risk decisioning. Focus on managing cross-regional analysts, improving KYB/KYC procedures, and aligning risk outcomes with customer experience.

Location: Ideally based in the UK, but open to candidates within +/- 1 GMT timezone

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Onboarding Risk team across NA, UK/EU, and APAC regions.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members and team leads, setting clear goals and performance standards.
  • Own and continuously improve onboarding risk procedures, controls, and playbooks.
  • Handle complex escalations and make sound judgement-based risk decisions.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Support, and Product teams to improve the Risk & Compliance function.
  • Ensure processes reflect current Card Scheme rules and global payments legislation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Onboarding or Credit Risk spaces.
  • 2+ years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, E-Commerce, or Fintech.
  • 3+ years of experience in team management.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work comfortably with teams across multiple time zones.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with some uncertainty.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Card Scheme requirements.
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence in everyday professional processes.
