What you will do

• Design and build analytical tools and methodologies that improve pricing accuracy, workflow efficiency, and client-facing outputs.
• Advise clients on portfolio performance, risk dynamics, reinsurance structures, capital relief, and volatility management across Aviation and Aerospace.
• Price treaty reinsurance using exposure data, loss experience, and catastrophe model outputs across multiple perils and lines of business.
• Produce benchmark analyses, placement narratives, and analytical materials for negotiations and reinsurer engagement.
• Work with technology teams as an actuarial subject matter expert to establish and specify the analytics and CAT environment.
• Mentor junior analysts and actuarial trainees, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to RFPs, new business pursuits, and client engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Fully qualified actuary with ACAS or FCAS and significant post-qualification experience in reinsurance, insurance, or advisory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in the reinsurance or insurance industry after qualification.
• Deep understanding of treaty reinsurance pricing and portfolio analytics, including experience and exposure rating across multiple lines of business.
• Experience and familiarity with Aviation and Aerospace classes.
• Familiarity with catastrophe model interpretation and integrating technical outputs into reinsurance structuring.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and client decision-making across the reinsurance value chain.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative, adaptable, solutions-focused environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and actuarial modeling tools; working knowledge of stochastic reinsurance pricing tools.
• Good understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, Data Science, Generative AI, and data ingestion, to identify development opportunities.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Python or data visualization platforms such as PowerBI and Tableau.
• Working knowledge of Igloo.
