What you will do

• Define and own the multi-year UX strategy to unify visual language and interaction models across acquired and native platforms.
• Build and govern a scalable design system including components, patterns, and tokens aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA requirements.
• Embed UX discovery, research, prototyping, and validation into agile product development lifecycles.
• Lead and mentor the UX function, managing direct reports and shaping future team structure and hiring plans.
• Establish scalable user research practices, including usability testing and journey mapping.
• Define UX success metrics and partner with Product and Engineering to drive adoption and usability improvements.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 8+ years of experience in UX, product design, or human-centered design with increasing leadership scope.
• Proven experience as a player-coach, managing and mentoring designers in a SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated success in scaling UX functions, including design systems and design operations.
• Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and user research.
• Hands-on proficiency in Figma and experience using AI tools to accelerate design workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with M&A UX unification or B2B/B2G SaaS.
• Background in civic tech, logistics, or dual user systems (operators and consumers).
• Interest in sustainability and mission-driven product development.
