What you will do

• Hire, train, mentor, and retain product designers and design managers to execute product vision and strategy.
• Own end-to-end design of back office workflows (AP, AR, purchasing, inventory, project financials, month-end close) as a unified system.
• Lead through complexity for users with low tolerance for friction (field operators, office managers, controllers) by deeply understanding target users.
• Partner with peer teams to evolve product development process and ensure projects are well-defined, high impact, and successfully executed.
• Build design standards and lean processes balancing quality, capabilities, and time; prioritize user-centered design projects.
• Drive accessibility, user research, and measurable outcomes; influence roadmaps and report to the VP of Experience Design.

Requirements

• Experience in a SaaS or enterprise environment (preferably on a platform).
• Experience building and leading a team of 10+.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude, Cursor) and interest in evolving design practice.
• Experience designing for agentic/AI-driven experiences where users review, approve, or override system-generated outputs.
• Proven track record solving difficult UX problems and simplifying complex workflows into intuitive interfaces.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation across organizational levels.
