TL;DR

Operations Preparation System Engineer (Aerospace): Coordinating and preparing spacecraft operations, including the Flight Operations Centre and Ground Segment, with an accent on Flight Control Procedures and system validation. Focus on steering subcontractors, authoring operational manuals, and supporting the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP).

Location: Onsite in Brno, Czech Republic. Candidates must be based in the EU or have existing eligibility to work in the EU.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and validate Flight Control Procedures (FCPs) and timelines for routine and contingency operations in cooperation with subcontractors.
  • Author Flight Operations Manuals (FOMs) and support Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for all Satellite Subsystems.
  • Manage Satellite Validation Tests (SVTs) and coordinate software/hardware related reviews such as PDR and CDR.
  • Support the validation of the operational Ground Segment and coordinate Science Data Centre development.
  • Provide operational support for the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and routine flight operations.

Requirements

  • Degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in spacecraft operations or system engineering.
  • Knowledge of LEOP, routine/contingency operations, FCPs, FOMs, and ICDs.
  • Familiarity with ground segment elements including FOC, ground stations, and data centres.
  • Experience with system engineering lifecycle and reviews (PDR, CDR).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (C1) is a must.
