What you will do

• Develop and validate requirements for optical payloads throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define and maintain system-level specifications, including interface control and functional simulations.
• Perform trade-off studies and manage technical budgets for satellite subsystems.
• Coordinate engineering activities and collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical, and software teams.
• Support procurement, assembly, and testing processes with optical engineering expertise.
• Prepare technical proposals and participate in customer reviews, including ESA tenders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in aerospace, optical, or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in aerospace or optics.
• Strong expertise in ZEMAX and optical system engineering.
• Must be based in the EU or have existing eligibility to work in the EU.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Experience with satellite system development and ESA technical reviews.
