Avionics System Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Brno, Czech Republic; candidates based in the EU or with existing eligibility to work in the EU are primarily considered. Fixed-term contract for 3 years, with a possibility of extension.

What you will do

• Define, develop, and control spacecraft avionics architecture across platform and flight systems.
• Own system and subsystem requirements, including definition, flow-down, maintenance, verification, and bidirectional traceability.
• Oversee and coordinate the development, integration, and verification of AOCS, data handling, TT&C, communications, power, and harness subsystems.
• Act as the primary technical interface to the avionics subcontractor and coordinate supplier delivery, quality, schedule, and performance.
• Coordinate EMC, radiation engineering, and avionics subcontractor AIT activities, including EFM, PFM, SCOE, and Suitcase models.
• Contribute to FDIR definition, review and approve technical documentation, and support spacecraft integration and verification.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience with spacecraft avionics systems or complex embedded/electrical systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AOCS, data handling, TT&C, power, and communications subsystems.
• Experience with requirements management, verification, architecture, and FDIR processes.
• Experience managing and challenging suppliers or subcontractors in multidisciplinary environments.
• Fluent spoken and written English; EU work eligibility or residence in the EU is primarily considered.
