TL;DR

Head of Sales Development (Ecommerce): Owning the strategy and performance of the B2B outbound and business development engine with an accent on cold outreach across calling, email, and DMs. Focus on managing team leads, optimizing prospecting systems, and consistently generating qualified discovery calls for Account Executives.

Location: Remote (United States, United Kingdom, or Canada). Must have significant working hour overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.

What you will do

  • Manage and develop team managers running day-to-day outbound operations, holding them accountable to targets.
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for all outreach channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and DMs.
  • Design and implement onboarding programs, coaching frameworks, and skill development for the sales team.
  • Launch and scale new lead acquisition initiatives, such as referral programs and business development partnerships.
  • Oversee the prospecting engine, encompassing lead sourcing, list building, enrichment, and segmentation.
  • Maintain the outbound tech stack and report weekly KPIs and action plans to the founders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in B2B outbound sales development for SMB and mid-market service businesses (agencies or consulting).
  • Proven experience prospecting business owners and founders directly, rather than corporate buying committees.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing an SDR organization with direct reports.
  • Strong background in coaching, training, and running call reviews.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Data-driven approach to management, focused on numbers and accountability.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling specifically to e-commerce or Amazon sellers.
