What you will do

• Lead the design and development of Java-based systems across multiple client projects.
• Set technical direction, standards, and best practices for engineering teams.
• Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing high-quality code.

• Collaborate with clients, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions regarding scalability, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Modern Java (Java 17+).
• Proven experience in a Lead Engineer or Tech Lead capacity.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working in agile, consultancy, or client-facing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
