What you will do

• Design and build high-quality, scalable, and performant low/zero-GC JVM services and APIs.
• Decompose complex risk models and business requirements into well-tested technical implementations.
• Collaborate directly with quantitative analysts and product teams to build robust financial solutions.
• Optimize and refactor existing codebases to enhance testing, performance, and maintainability.
• Promote engineering excellence, code quality, and best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Java backend engineer.
• Expert proficiency in Java with a focus on architecting highly performant, low-latency systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial products, risk models, and methodologies such as SPAN and VaR.
• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies including TDD, back testing, and stress testing.
• Strong experience with Agile, Clean Code, API design, and microservices.
• Technical proficiency with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with event-sourced architectures, columnar storage, Chronicle Queue, or Kotlin.
• Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
