What you will do

• Lead technical discovery and architecture for complex financial transfer initiatives.
• Solve technical challenges across event-driven flows, data consistency, and system orchestration.
• Proactively identify and mitigate system-level risks related to performance and data integrity.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers to raise the technical bar across the tribe.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Architecture teams to ensure solutions are fit for live service.
• Drive improvements in observability, deployment safety, and system recovery.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong background in Java (Java 21) and Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.
