Project Specialist, Microgrids

Location: Field-based work at active construction and commissioning sites

What you will do

• Provide daily oversight of asset vendors and report completed and outstanding work to the scheduler.
• Support asset assembly and commissioning, including generators, transformers, switchgear, load banks, and gas-reduction systems.
• Megger medium-voltage cables, prepare temporary 15 kV and 480 V connections, and document readings and work progress.
• Install and connect natural-gas hoses and 2–12 inch gas connections to generators.
• Coordinate site layouts, equipment deliveries, construction personnel, customers, vendors, and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot electrical, gas, and mechanical issues while maintaining safety, environmental compliance, and orderly mobilization.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of related experience, preferably in oil and gas rental or electrical industries.
• Understanding of electronics, electrical equipment, and electrical safety.
• High school diploma, skilled labor certificate, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, safe company-vehicle operation, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to use ladders and safety harnesses and work around energized equipment, high-pressure gas, extreme weather, and heights.
• Ability to stand or remain on foot for extended periods and lift 25 pounds up to 10 times per shift.
