Base salary: $139,200–$187,050 for P4 and $152,500–$205,000 for P5.

hirify.global is developing Superpower, a 42-megawatt industrial gas turbine derived from supersonic propulsion technology for frontier AI data centers.

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end design of the 13.8kV medium-voltage system from architecture and single-line diagrams through first energization, endurance testing, and field commissioning.
  • Define the protection philosophy, concept of operations, switchgear requirements, generator circuit breaker specifications, and sourcing strategy.
  • Produce protection coordination studies, relay settings, MV electrical drawings, equipment ratings, and fault-current analyses.
  • Own generator excitation, voltage regulation, synchronization, frequency control, load acceptance, and islanded-operation requirements.
  • Lead relay commissioning, first energization, load-bank integration, transient-response testing, and step-load testing.
  • Coordinate electrical work across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams, including grounding, metering, arc-flash analysis, and interlock design.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with medium-voltage systems, switchgear, breakers, protective relaying, grounding, and generator integration in industrial or power-generation environments.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery, generator behavior, excitation, AVR systems, synchronization, and transient response under load, fault, and trip conditions.
  • Experience owning protection coordination work, including relay selection, settings, differential protection, and overcurrent schemes from study through commissioning.
  • Ability to read and produce buildable MV electrical drawings, including one-lines, wire diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Typically 10–15 years of experience for P4 or 15+ years for P5.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR and EAR regulations.
