Field Service Engineer (Electrical Power Distribution)

Location: USA, Remote. The role provides service and support at customer sites throughout an assigned territory. Domestic relocation is eligible.

Salary: $69,900–$96,100 USD annual

What you will do

• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage distribution gear, transformers, and related power distribution equipment.
• Prepare technical reports and test sheets while monitoring spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Follow company and site safety requirements and participate in site meetings.
• Coordinate with project managers and site personnel, regularly receiving and relaying project information.
• Provide customer service, address client needs, and escalate issues for resolution.
• Identify waste, improve processes, and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Associate-level education in electrical power distribution or a related field, and/or 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with electrical power distribution systems, power monitoring systems, AC/DC electrical power, and communication protocols.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Ability to use multimeters, current meters, and related test equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable UL standards, including UL 67, UL 1008, UL 1008S, UL 60950, UL 891, and UL 1558.
• Military experience and data center or other mission-critical systems experience are preferred.
