Project Engineering Manager (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Henrico, Virginia, United States; on-site delivery and commissioning support may be required. Travel: 20%.

Salary: $114,500–$157,400 USD annual.

What you will do

• Coordinate project technical planning, design execution, and engineering deliverables.
• Support sales tenders by reviewing technical compliance, standards, regulations, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Work with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to develop and validate deliverable designs.
• Prepare project-specific design calculations and review O&M manuals and training materials.
• Provide technical support to project management during vendor calls, manufacturing, assembly, testing, on-site delivery, and commissioning.
• Support root-cause analysis reporting in collaboration with the Quality team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience and 1–2 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of single-line diagrams, protection devices, electrical design principles, and UL standards for switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate engineering documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
