What you will do

• Support and optimize wafer processing equipment in areas such as Photolithography, Electromagnetic Plating, or Metrology.
• Develop and implement factory control strategies utilizing automation, sensors, and AI-driven monitoring solutions.
• Deploy data collection systems and integrate tools using Python, SQL, and AI frameworks to enhance decision-making.
• Build lightweight AI models and rule-based logic for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance.
• Lead root cause investigations using engineering fundamentals and statistical analysis.
• Provide technical support to technicians and operators while maintaining tool upgrade documentation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in semiconductor or wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Photolithography, Plating, Metrology, or Inspection systems.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting using Python, SQL, or R.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS/AI with 5+ years of experience, Master's with 3+ years, or a PhD.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bloomington, MN.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization or ML deployment tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or MLflow.
• Familiarity with machine vision systems (OpenCV) or embedded platforms (Jetson, Raspberry Pi).
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, or DMAIC structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience integrating sensors and edge devices into manufacturing equipment.
