What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of manufacturing and assembly automation equipment from concept to production release.
• Integrate automation workflows, including robotics, vision systems, and software recipes.
• Execute validation deliverables such as FAT/SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ in a regulated environment.
• Provide sustaining engineering support to improve yield, performance, and availability using SPC and Six Sigma tools.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement process risk mitigations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and external vendors to ensure scalable and robust equipment designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in automation engineering.
• Architectural understanding of PLC/HMI interfaces and machine vision systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical design for automated systems using Solidworks.
• Strong documentation skills for regulated environments (validation protocols, test plans).
• Ability to work onsite in Orange County, CA.
