What you will do
- Design and optimize deposition technologies and power supply systems for Thin Film deposition of complex materials.
- Manage process gas flow techniques and integrate media cleaning technologies into production.
- Lead complex equipment projects through the full lifecycle from specification and design to implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement (CIP) and new technology introduction (NTI) initiatives to impact immediate operations.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical expertise to cross-functional and international teams.
- Partner with management to define project milestones and determine engineering resource requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Materials, Physics, or IT) and 12+ years of experience (or Master's + 8 years, PhD + 5 years).
- Deep expertise in mechatronics engineering design and equipment operational principles.
- Proven experience in media manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong project management history, leading complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally (up to 10%).
- Must be based in or able to work onsite at the Fremont, CA Research Center.
