Membership and Chapters Manager (Project Management): Planning, coordinating, and executing chapter programs, awards, and scholarships for a defense finance management association with an accent on member recruitment, retention, and stakeholder engagement. Location: Must be based in the United States, with the ability to support local meetings in the Washington, DC area quarterly and travel 4-6 times per year.

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for chapter leaders, providing high-quality support and leadership training.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention programs to drive chapter growth.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of national awards and scholarship programs, including volunteer management.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting for all chapter-related initiatives.
  • Create and maintain operational tools such as policies, handbooks, and training sessions for chapter leaders.
  • Support local meetings and events in the Washington, DC area on a quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in a membership-based organization with chapters.
  • Proficiency with membership software, preferably an established AMS system.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel 4-6 times per year.
  • Familiarity with data tracking, dashboards, and financial reporting.
