Senior Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Lead data science projects spanning predictive modeling, algorithm design, analysis, and data pipelines.
• Develop campaign data science models, including partisanship and voter turnout models.
• Explore large datasets to generate insights that inform product development and feature prioritization.
• Transform data into actionable insights through analysis, visualization, memos, and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering to bring data science products and concepts into production.
• Mentor junior data scientists and prototype emerging AI approaches for research and development challenges.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in an equivalent role producing models and analytics for business applications.
• Advanced knowledge of data science techniques, machine learning algorithms, and optimization methods.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models and developing data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Git, and advanced data visualization.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with organizing, advocacy, voter file data, or campaign data science.
• Familiarity with dbt and Dagster.
• Experience with polling, survey analysis, or multilevel regression and poststratification modeling.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or related field.
