Safety Manager (T&D Electrical Construction)

Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; regular work in company-designated office or field locations with travel across designated project areas.

What you will do

• Manage ongoing safety programs and coordinate safety staffing with Operations.
• Verify fieldwork compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Audit safety activities and provide feedback, leadership, and guidance to safety engineers.
• Coordinate cross-training and conduct safety training as needed.
• Conduct announced and unannounced inspections, surveys, and evaluations.
• Prepare and review accident briefs, safety publications, reports, progress updates, and safety studies.

Requirements

• Experience with OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, Method of Procedure writing, and OSHA/DOT-related work.
• Experience with job hazard and safety analysis in the transmission and distribution industry.
• Field experience in transmission and distribution line construction and management experience in a safety role.
• Safety or related technical undergraduate degree and safety credentials such as OSHA 501 or OTI certifications.
• Knowledge of utility and construction safety programs, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 500 Train the Trainer, and OSP.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available. A valid driver’s license is also required.
