Product Owner – Deposits (Finance Transformation) (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Owner (Fintech): Leading product delivery execution and requirements management for a large-scale Finance Transformation initiative focused on the Deposits domain with an accent on financial reporting, analytics, and enterprise data initiatives. Focus on bridging business needs between Finance and Technology teams, performing complex data analysis via SQL, and managing the Agile product backlog.

Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC) – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end requirements gathering and analysis for Deposit-related data initiatives.
• Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Perform data profiling, lineage validation, and source-to-target analysis using SQL.
• Coordinate release planning and ensure traceability from requirements to production.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in Agile Product Delivery.
• Strong background in Banking or Financial Services, specifically with Deposit products.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and profiling.
• Experience with data lineage and source-to-target mapping.
• Expertise in Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Charlotte, NC.

Nice to have

• Experience within major financial institutions (e.g., Wells Fargo, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase).
• Experience with Enterprise Data Transformation.
• Ability to develop roadmaps, OKRs, and KPIs.
