What you will do

• Influence product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with product leadership.
• Own the delivery of accounting capabilities, features, and workflows across the investment suite.
• Act as the embedded Product Owner within Agile squads, driving sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Collaborate with engineering and UX/UI to design scalable investment accounting workflows and modern interfaces.
• Write actionable epics, user stories, and non-functional requirements using INVEST and MVP principles.
• Coordinate software releases and perform hands-on testing to ensure product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in buyside accounting, fund administration or related roles.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Deep understanding of middle and back-office operations, trade lifecycles, and portfolio accounting.
• Knowledge of alternative fund structures (hedge funds, CLOs, private credit) and US-GAAP principles.
• Must be based in New York, NY for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Advent Geneva, WSO Accounting, or Finbourne.
