TL;DR

Principal Product Education Specialist (AI): Designing and delivering modern learning and user assistance experiences with an accent on in-product guidance and AI-powered self-service. Focus on shifting traditional training models to contextual, just-in-time guidance and leveraging RAG-based retrieval and prompt-driven workflows.

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the US

What you will do

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for evolving product education toward modern, in-product and self-service experiences.
  • Drive a shift toward AI-powered self-service via Help Centers, search, and chat assistants.
  • Design task-based, workflow-driven learning to enable users to complete key actions efficiently.
  • Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to drive end-to-end user assistance across the product.
  • Implement a scalable self-service learning strategy across Knowledge Bases and documentation.
  • Measure and improve learning effectiveness using data and user behavior insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or similar.
  • 8+ years of experience in product education, instructional design, or technical communications.
  • Must be based in the US (100% remote within the United States).
  • Experience designing AI-enabled education leveraging tools like Microsoft Copilot and Azure OpenAI.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in adult learning principles (ADDIE, SAM) and instructional design frameworks.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-driven personalization to improve user adoption and learning outcomes.
  • Familiarity with integrating AI assistants within product environments for contextual guidance.
  • Experience with content intelligence and analytics tools to optimize education strategies.
  • Understanding of emerging trends in developer education and knowledge management.
