What you will do

• Serve as a key internal legal advisor on data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-related regulatory developments.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and technology agreements, including MSAs, SaaS, and data processing agreements.
• Provide guidance on the lawful use of AI and machine learning tools, including governance and risk assessments.
• Support cybersecurity incident response coordination and assessment of notification obligations.
• Collaborate with the sales organization to support client engagements and contract negotiations.
• Contribute to the maintenance of contract templates, playbooks, and internal knowledge bases.

Requirements

• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school required.
• Minimum seven years of transactional legal experience with a focus on privacy and technology law.
• Current law license required, preferably from the State of Texas.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating SaaS and data-driven commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled product risks.
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical, business-ready guidance.

Nice to have

• CIPP/US certification.
• Experience working with large sales and marketing organizations.
• Proficiency in CLM systems and legal technology platforms.
