Salary: $425,000 - $560,000 USD annually

• Lead engineering efforts to improve model performance and scale inference and training systems
• Contribute technically to the team’s stack as an individual contributor
• Manage day-to-day execution and prioritize work in a dynamic environment

• Maintain deep understanding of technical work and AI safety implications

Requirements

• At least 1 year of management experience in technical environments, especially performance or distributed systems
• Background in machine learning, AI, or related technical field
• Commitment to safe development of advanced AI systems
• Strong stakeholder relationship and communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn and contribute to complex technical topics
• Experience managing teams through rapid growth and change

Nice to have

• Experience with high performance, large-scale ML systems
• GPU/accelerator programming knowledge
• Familiarity with ML framework internals and OS internals
• Experience with language modeling using transformers
