TL;DR

Financial Analyst (FP&A): Supporting business performance through financial planning, forecasting, and insightful analysis with an accent on budgeting and variance analysis. Location: Toronto or Montreal, Canada. Hybrid setup (up to 50% remote).

What you will do

  • Support annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and perform variance analysis against budget and prior years.
  • Analyze revenue, costs, margins, and operating expenses to identify trends and risks.
  • Build and maintain financial models for business planning and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with commercial, operations, and functional teams to identify performance drivers.
  • Prepare management presentations and dashboards for leadership review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
  • Must be located in or have work authorization for Canada (Toronto or Montreal).

Nice to have

  • Progress toward professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or MBA.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems like SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion.
  • Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
