Financial Analyst, Defence & Security

What you will do

• Manage financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and project accounting for an assigned portfolio of projects.
• Collaborate with Program Management on Estimate at Completion requirements and project financial forecasts.
• Apply IFRS, particularly IFRS 15, to customer contracts and support revenue recognition activities.
• Prepare periodic financial information, project performance analyses, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Assess scenarios, EAC changes, financial impacts, and project risks and opportunities.
• Support month-end close, audits, data integrity, reporting enhancements, and process improvements using tools such as Planisware, Oracle, and Power BI.

Requirements

• University degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, public company financial reporting, management accounting, and project or contract-based accounting.
• Experience preparing complex business models and analysing project financial performance.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
• Fluency in English and French.

Nice to have

• Professional accounting designation such as CA or CPA.
• Knowledge of costing principles, margin analysis, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and forecasting processes.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, or Hyperion Enterprise.
• Exposure to corporate consolidation processes and financial requirements in different countries.
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
