TL;DR

Head of People Operations (AI): Leading the end-to-end people strategy and operations for a mission-driven foundation with an accent on employee relations, manager development, and performance culture. Focus on building scalable HR systems, driving talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance within a 100% remote US-based workforce.

Location: Must be based in the USA

What you will do

  • Lead employee relations, serving as the primary point of contact for policy interpretation and workplace concerns.
  • Design and implement a manager coaching curriculum to improve leadership capability and conflict resolution.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-leadership roles, including interview design and candidate experience.
  • Own the performance management cycle, from system launch to calibration and evidence-based assessment support.
  • Oversee HR operations, including benefits administration, compliance with multi-state employment laws, and HRIS management.
  • Develop and execute learning and development programs aligned with organizational competency needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in HR, with at least 7 years focused on employee relations, manager development, or talent management.
  • Technical recruiting experience is required.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR compliance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Proven ability to coach managers through performance and conduct situations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, ATS, and AI tools in an HR context.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing a team.
  • HR certification.
