TL;DR

Sr. Core Test Specialist (Aerospace): Planning and executing environmental qualification and acceptance testing for avionics and RF hardware on lunar vehicle programs with an accent on thermal, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC campaigns. Focus on ensuring flight hardware meets rigorous performance requirements through hands-on test execution and fixture design.

Location: Greater Seattle Area. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum. Relocation provided.

Salary: $124,476 - $174,265

What you will do

  • Develop and execute environmental test procedures including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC for avionics and RF assemblies.
  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems, environmental test chambers, and associated instrumentation.
  • Analyze test data and generate reports to resolve anomalies in collaboration with design and quality engineers.
  • Design and procure test fixtures, adapters, and cabling harnesses, coordinating with vendors and machine shops.
  • Maintain test equipment calibration and ensure compliance with AS9100 and internal quality standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Aerospace Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, shock, or EMI/EMC) on aerospace or defense hardware.
  • Familiarity with SMC-S-016 or equivalent environmental test standards.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or legal status as a refugee/asylee is strictly required.

Nice to have

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience testing RF components and knowledge of MIL-STD-461.
  • Experience with cleanroom protocols and ESD-sensitive hardware handling.
  • Familiarity with Windchill, JIRA, IPC-A-610, or NASA workmanship standards.
