What you will do

• Lead engineering design projects for new and modified structural installations in process and manufacturing facilities.
• Design process equipment structures, foundations, pipe racks, ladders, and platforms.
• Produce detailed design calculations and sketches for structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Coordinate design details with other disciplines and help develop project proposals.
• Direct designers in the development of installation drawings and specifications based on customer requirements and codes.
• Perform field engineering, structural inspections, and develop formal reports to correct deficiencies.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution (MS preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering, preferably in industrial settings.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in Alabama or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software, specifically Revit and RISA 3D.
• Working knowledge of ASCE, IBC, ACI, AISC, and AASHTO codes.
• Ability to work in industrial plants, including climbing ladders and wearing protective clothing.
