Electrical Systems Engineer (Industrial Power Distribution)

What you will do

• Design electrical circuits and power distribution systems for complex industrial facilities.
• Perform load modeling and validation for switchboards, distribution boards, and panel boards using SKM PTW or equivalent software.
• Develop and review electrical layouts and documentation with AutoCAD and BIM/Revit tools.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Conduct field inspections, system audits, and design verification at active construction and operational sites.
• Ensure power distribution systems meet safety, reliability, operational, and building code standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least three years of relevant facility-level electrical engineering or power systems design experience.
• Proficiency with SKM PTW or equivalent power analysis software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, teamwork, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in San Jose and conduct field inspections, including walking sites and climbing to access equipment.

Nice to have

• Engineer in Training certification.
• Experience with Revit or other BIM-based design tools.
• Fast-learning approach and willingness to take on broader system design responsibilities.
