Entry-level Electrical Engineer

Location: On-site in Oakland, California, United States; limited travel up to 10%

Base salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD per year, plus potential performance-based bonuses and equity participation

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of electrical circuits, systems, and products using CAD software.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and analysis to verify design integrity and compliance with specifications.
• Assist with prototype and final-product testing, validation, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior engineers, and project managers to meet project milestones.
• Support electrical component selection and manufacturing and assembly activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or Altium Designer.
• Basic understanding of circuit design, signal processing, power distribution, and electrical engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Oakland, California, with limited travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Internship or co-op experience in electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with IEEE and NEC standards and codes.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems or control systems.
