Portfolio and Platform Lead, MNCNH Artificial Intelligence (3-Year LTE) (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA, United States. Relocation will be provided. Unrestricted work authorization in the United States is required; immigration-related sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $233,600–$362,200 USD annually; the range for Seattle and Washington, D.C. is $254,700–$394,700 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage the MNCNH AI portfolio, including projects, grants, and contracts from concept through adoption and scale.
• Track roadmaps, budgets, milestones, grant performance, readiness gates, and follow-on investment decisions.
• Embed human-centered design, user research, accessibility, explainability, trust indicators, and low-bandwidth usability into AI products.
• Coordinate with internal technical leads, country teams, grantees, governments, funders, implementers, and external partners to support AI adoption in maternal, newborn, and child health programs.
• Identify scaling barriers and guide risk-stratification algorithms, clinical decision-support tools, and diagnostics toward implementation in low-resource settings.
• Define interoperability requirements, oversee API and data exchange design, and integrate products with FHIR-compliant systems, DHIS2, OpenMRS, national HMIS, and MNCH registries.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or an equivalent field.
• At least 8 years of experience managing AI, digital, or technology product portfolios, ideally in a commercial setting.
• Experience managing grants, contracts, deliverables, cross-functional teams, or comparable investment vehicles.
• Strong understanding of AI product development, evaluation, usability, integration, trust design, and real-world adoption.
• Working knowledge of FHIR, HL7, DHIS2, OpenMRS, health-system architectures, and interoperability practices.
• Must hold unrestricted work authorization in the United States; visa or immigration-related sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling AI or digital health solutions in maternal, newborn, and child health programs in low- and middle-income countries.
• Experience embedding human-centered design or UX practices into digital health or AI product development.
• Experience engaging technology firms, ministries of health, donors, multilateral organizations, and implementation partners.
