What you will do

• Lead engineering teams specializing in electronic component development, mounting systems, and kitting solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership and global supply chain partners to evolve product development strategies.
• Guide product lifecycle roadmaps from concept to launch, balancing in-house innovation with strategic third-party integrations.
• Implement Design for Excellence (DFX) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) best practices.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and adopt new technologies to enhance quality, environmental compliance, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams or leaders within an engineering environment.
• Strong background in hardware engineering, electronic component development, or vehicle systems integration (cabling, harnessing, or mounting).
• Experience managing engineering operating budgets and resource allocation.
• Deep understanding of product quality methodologies, such as Design for Excellence (DFX).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Dayton, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a joint venture or collaborating with large global partners like Caterpillar.
• Technical knowledge of heavy equipment machinery, grade control technologies, or digital construction solutions.
