TL;DR

Engineering Manager (React): Leading the development of a customer-facing web application and managing engineering teams across the software development lifecycle with an accent on technical leadership, scalable cloud services, and frontend architecture. Focus on guiding architectural decisions, improving engineering productivity through AI and automation, and operating containerized microservices with strong observability.

Location: Remote in the US

Base pay: $153,800–$211,400 annually

What you will do

Lead engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle for a customer-facing web application.
Recruit, mentor, coach, retain, and inspire engineers and technical leads.
Set objectives, track progress, manage technical roadblocks, and support budget planning.
Partner with architects, product managers, delivery managers, engineers, and quality engineering to deliver reliable products.
Lead technical discovery, influence architecture, manage technical debt, and drive continuous improvement.
Participate in the engineering on-call rotation.

Requirements

12+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years of technical leadership and experience managing teams of 6 or more engineers.
Experience working on or leading development of a customer-facing web application.
Hands-on experience with at least one of Go, C#, or TypeScript, plus strong knowledge of React and modern frontend patterns.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, accessibility, browser and Web APIs, performance optimization, REST APIs, GraphQL, and web testing.
Experience building scalable cloud-hosted applications, microservices, containerized environments, and AWS services.
Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, distributed tracing, and engineering automation.

Nice to have

Experience with Terraform and GitHub or GitLab.
Experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, and/or OpenTelemetry.
Experience using cross-platform libraries and frameworks for web and mobile products.
