Location: Must be based in San Francisco, California (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $162,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data processing pipelines for map data.
• Establish robust testing and performance optimization practices for the Atlas system.
• Partner with internal and external customers to influence system design and feature development.
• Ensure stability and scalability as the hirify.global Driver expands to new commercial routes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building server-side and data processing systems.
• Expert proficiency in C++ with a commitment to clean, testable code.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles and scalable backend architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Domain experience with geospatial data, mapping systems, or high-throughput data pipelines.
• Working proficiency in Python and Golang.
