What you will do

• Design and build backend services for provisioning and lifecycle management of Snowflake Postgres instances.
• Develop authorization, secure administration, and customer management features.
• Improve reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver simple customer experiences.
• Investigate production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and drive resilience improvements.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and mentoring to raise engineering standards.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA, United States
• 2+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems software development.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, or Python.
• Solid computer science fundamentals including concurrency, networking, APIs, and data structures.
• Experience designing and operating reliable production services with debugging and incident response.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, database internals, or managed database platforms.
• Experience with identity, authorization, RBAC, or security-sensitive systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, control plane systems, or asynchronous service architectures.
