TL;DR

Consumer Insights Lead (AI): Leading the consumer research function to understand user motivations and brand perception for an agentic software creation platform with an accent on quantitative and qualitative studies. Focus on building a brand health tracking program and translating ambiguous user data into actionable growth strategies.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in or be able to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City, CA). In-office requirement: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Define and own the consumer insights and research roadmap across Consumer and Brand Marketing.
  • Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative studies, including focus groups, interviews, and creative concept tests.
  • Establish and manage a brand health tracking program to measure awareness, consideration, perception, and NPS.
  • Conduct fast-turnaround pulse research to answer pressing campaign and product messaging questions.
  • Synthesize complex data into actionable findings for stakeholders ranging from ICs to the executive team.
  • Track competitive intelligence and identify shifts in user sentiment regarding AI tools.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of consumer insights or market research experience in B2C, consumer tech, or AI-adjacent companies.
  • Proven experience standing up or significantly scaling a research function from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute both qualitative and quantitative research end-to-end.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in survey platforms and statistical significance analysis.
  • Must be based in or able to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • AI-native approach, actively using AI tools to scale research and synthesis output.

Nice to have

  • Experience with creator, developer, or AI-native audiences.
  • Background at a product-led growth (PLG) company.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted qualitative analysis tools.
  • Active hirify.global user who has built and shipped projects using the platform.
