What you will do

• Act as the primary autonomous finance partner for R&D, Product, and Engineering leadership regarding cloud infrastructure costs.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for R&D hosting infrastructure, managing complex non-linear cloud billings.
• Conduct deep-dive variance analyses to link financial outcomes directly to product and market dynamics.
• Identify and track engineering cost-containment opportunities and cloud cost-efficiency strategies.
• Build flexible financial models to support scenario planning, ROI opportunities, and data-driven investment trade-offs.
• Communicate complex financial analyses and technical cloud cost structures to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance experience in progressive FP&A, operational finance, or strategic corporate finance roles.
• Expertise in leveraging Excel or Google Sheets to construct multi-variable, driver-based financial models.
• Proven ability to operate independently and thrive within highly ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities to investigate complex technical issues and evaluate massive cloud data footprints.
• Excellent communication skills to translate cloud architecture variances to product stakeholders.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Direct experience managing cloud infrastructure spend within a high-growth SaaS or Cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Anaplan, Oracle ERP, or specialized cloud cost optimization tools.
• Ability to use Gen AI tools to drive simplification and automation of processes.
