What you will do
- Produce engaging stories with strong leads and diverse sourcing for minimal editing.
- Break exclusives by cultivating sources and conducting probing interviews.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of federal and state legislative and judicial processes.
- Collaborate with multimedia and graphics teams to enhance storytelling.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and mentor for junior reporters in the newsroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Journalism.
- 7+ years of professional experience in journalism.
- At least one year of experience reporting on legal subject matter.
- Must be based in Arlington, VA
