Salary: $93,000 - $150,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce 1-2 original analysis pieces per week for newsletters, video, or other digital formats.
• Lead and contribute to major enterprise projects centered on elections.
• Collaborate with the Decision Desk and chief data analysts to surface original insights.
• Explain complex election methodologies and data trends to a broad audience.
• Report across multiple digital and linear platforms, including live chats and audience engagement opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional journalism experience covering public opinion polling and election data.
• Proven track record of nonpartisan, fact-based analysis of public opinion surveys.
• Expert journalistic writing skills for newsletters and news-cycle cadence.
• Familiarity with data tools such as Excel, R, Python, or SQL.
• Must be able to work from the New York office at least 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with DTC platforms and social video.
• Formal political scientist background.
