What you will do

• Consistently break news and deliver scoops on the tech industry.
• Report and write at least eight stories per month, balancing news pieces with investigative work.
• Pitch and develop stories on tech companies, their influence, and their impact on society.
• Collaborate with the business desk and the broader WIRED newsroom.
• Work with audio, video, events, and social media teams to adapt stories for multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with global markets on relevant packages and projects.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
• At least 3 years of experience as a technology or business journalist.
• Proven track record of investigative reporting and breaking news.
• Proficiency in using FOIA, PACER, and other public records tools.
• Ability to manage a constantly evolving workload and prioritize effectively.
• Clear, engaging, and jargon-free writing style.
