What you will do

• Generate, research, and produce original story ideas and conduct field interviews.
• Shoot, write, voice, and edit news packages for on-air and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with producers and photographers to create high-impact visual storytelling.
• Create specialized daily content for social media, websites, and the official app.
• Build and maintain a network of sources and community leaders across Connecticut.
• Ensure high editorial standards and factual accuracy in all reports under heavy deadline pressure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in newsgathering, production, and desktop editing.
• Must be willing to work onsite in West Hartford, Connecticut.
• Ability to work flexible 24/7 shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to carry camera equipment (15-50 lbs).

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong live reporting and effortless ad-libbing skills.
• Previous experience as a General Assignment Reporter.
