What you will do

• Identify and pitch angles on big daily news stories and follow developments.
• Shoot and edit video content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Deliver live and recorded news events authentically and accurately.
• Build relevant contacts and sources within the South Florida community.
• Create and post digital and social content to engage viewers.
• Ensure all storytelling techniques align with NBC News legal and standards guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in newsgathering or news production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in high-risk emergency situations, including hurricanes.
